I love working with individuals who are seeking healing and hope.  I truly believe I am called to work in the field of healing and feel honored that you will allow me to walk with you or your child on this journey.  My first three years of practice were spent working with diverse clientele and presenting concerns.  This has been such a wonderful gift because it has allowed me to learn, grow, and develop the ability to work with all types of people.  I became passionate about counseling when I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes my Senior year in college.  This diagnosis was incredibly life changing, and I had to relearn what healthy, balanced living truly looks like.  This diagnosis also forced me to face my own depressive and anxious tendencies and learn how to manage those in new ways.  My own experience has led me to be passionate about working with people who deal with chronic medical conditions.  I am also deeply passionate about working with children and teenagers and helping them learn to navigate their world in healthy and positive ways.

I am a Christian and do see the world through this lens.  However, I enjoy working with individuals from all faith or non faith backgrounds, and I will not ever make faith the central issue in counseling, unless you would like for it to be brought into our work. I do enjoy working through spiritual issues with clients and clients who feel wounded by religious institutions.

I am a rare Nashville native.  When I am not working with clients, I am usually taking care of my Australian Shepherd, Dakota, spending time in nature, working out, volunteering  in the youth ministry at my church, spending time with my family, watching HGTV, or practicing photography.  I look forward to hearing from you!
